Experiments with texture and stencils

After spending the last few years creating drawing and art history videos, I have recently picked up the brushes again. I have been experimenting with texture, space, shape and line and trying to get enough work together for an exhibition in 2024. I’ll add more paintings here as I produce them

These paintings are panted on canvas and make use of mixed media such as tissue paper and moulding paste to create texture, acrylic paint and Posca pens. I have also used Lascaux Acrylic paint fine liners and stencils for the dots. The paintings fall into three themes: Figures in a Landscape, Local Towns and Abstracts based on my own drawings and secondary sources.
